Our OCD Intensive Program is led by highly trained clinicians with specialized expertise in obsessive-compulsive disorder and evidence-based treatment.
Betsy Smith, LPC-S
Betsy is the founder of Bellaire Family Counseling. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences and a Master’s degree in Counseling. A Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor, Betsy brings over 15 years of clinical experience. She has served as the Social and Emotional Program Coordinator at Small Steps Nurturing Center and as Clinical Training Director for the graduate counseling program at the University of St. Thomas.
Betsy has extensive training in treating pediatric and adult OCD, including completion of the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) through the International OCD Foundation. She has participated in consultation groups led by national OCD experts and is a professional member of the IOCDF.
Jacob Weissman, LPC
Jacob holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He completed his clinical practicum and internship at the OCD Institute of Texas, gaining hands-on experience with all subtypes of OCD across multiple levels of care—from outpatient to inpatient. Jacob is passionate about community advocacy and led Bellaire Family Counseling’s participation in the One Million Steps for OCD Walk. He is also a professional member of the IOCDF.
